Flexible community transport

FLM Needs You!

Many bus services gained a subsidy duing covid pandemic. As of October this subsidy comes to an end and there are going to be many bus services hit across the UK. Already Bristol has announced the closure of 10 routes, Kent is cutting 60 routes. If FLM are going to survive we need the help the communities we serve - that's you!

Some of our achievements include:

  • We have retained good relations with local bus and coach providers as well as the local councils
  • We are the first Community Transport operator in England to voluntarily commit to BODS ( Bus Open Data System).
  • We have pioneered giving students work experience.
  • We have never been afraid to innovate such as trialling Free Mondays through August.
  • Every day our services feed passengers to and from other buses & trains - helping their business as well as ours.

Part of our strategy for survival is reliance on volunteer drivers, and yet to provide a professional service we pay some drivers. We believe FLM are amongst the most cost-efficient community led bus services in the UK. FLM was set up as a pheonix to replace the old 11 & 18 bus services North & South of Eynsham, now dubbed 411 & 418. Since January 2022 we have continually innovated to ensure we stay a lean and efficient organisation that identifies closely with it's community.

If you want to get involved with FLM as well as drivers, We need a wide range of skills & interested including fund-raising, publicity - and even a treasurer role. If interested please contact us through the usual channels.
