Volunteers

First and Last Mile was founded by volunteers. It started running services with all volunteer drivers and even today much of the admin work and driving is done by volunteers.

We are no different to many other Community Transport providers or community minded organisations across the country. People give freely of their time and contribute an immeasurable amount to enrich people's lives.

Both FLM and the wider community are grateful for all that people do and we can never thank our volunteers enough. The hours may be long and often unseen but whether large or small the difference made can be enormous.

Volunteers do not get paid and ask for nothing but they must never be taken for granted and above all must be treated with respect and for everything they do. On behalf of FLM can I say thank you.
