Flexible community transport

FLM hosts visit from OCC

On the 12th of December FLM were proud to host a visit from a range of OCC staff who wanted to explore the reality of rural community transport for themselves. They first cought the train from Oxford to Hanborough station. Thence met by the scheduled 411 bus service to take them through Freeland to Eynsham, followed by the 418 service to Standlake and back.

Finally we had a Q&A session at the Red Lion public house in the middle of Eynsham. OCC had the opportunity to experience the full routes on a normal scheduled bus and then talk to drivers & the OpsTeam.  All agreed the day was very helpful to all concerned. Hopefully for OCC this will be the first of several trips out of their normal office confines into the actual world of Community Transport.IMG20231212 RedLion OccVisit 1000010821 50
